The third annual Live at Ludlow Castle series drew to a close last week with two unforgettable weekends of live entertainment, marking a major milestone for our celebrated visitor attraction in Shropshire. In partnership with leading production company Future Sound Group, this year’s expanded programme featured not only a stellar music line-up but also Ludlow Castle’s first-ever comedy festival—a new addition which was met with enthusiastic acclaim.
Set within the medieval walls of Ludlow Castle, part of Powis Estates, the 2025 series welcomed 40,000 guests across both weekends. The live music performances featured headline acts including Faithless, Texas, and Olly Murs, supported by a talented range of emerging and established artists. The introduction of a dedicated comedy night brought a new dimension to the event, offering a dynamic and memorable experience for festival-goers and broadening its appeal.
The extended format of Live at Ludlow Castle attracted additional visitors to the town, many of whom enjoyed local accommodation, sampled regional food and drink, and explored Ludlow’s independent shops and historic attractions. The event has become a key fixture in the Shropshire events calendar, reinforcing Ludlow’s reputation as a vibrant and welcoming destination for cultural tourism.
The festival once again drew enthusiastic audiences, who embraced the opportunity to enjoy high-quality, accessible entertainment in a truly unique setting. Positive feedback from both visitors and the wider community highlights Live at Ludlow Castle’s growing status as a must-attend experience in the UK’s live music scene.
The medieval ruins of Ludlow Castle provide a stunning and atmospheric backdrop for both music and comedy. Events like this not only celebrate the arts but also contribute to the preservation and promotion of the site’s historical significance. Through their collaboration, Powis Estates and Future Sound Group are helping to ensure the long-term sustainability of one of the UK’s most treasured heritage venues.
With three successful years and a new comedy chapter now part of its story, the Live at Ludlow Castle series is poised for continued growth. Plans are already underway for future events that promise more unforgettable experiences in this extraordinary setting.
Powis Estates extends a sincere ‘thank you’ to everyone who made this year’s event possible—from the performers and production teams to local businesses and the thousands of attendees who helped make Live at Ludlow Castle 2025 a resounding success.
